TOP ISSUES

1. I do not see any lessons.
2. I forgot my username or password.
3. Sound will not play in the lesson.
4. Video or audio will not play.

1. I do not see any lessons

Issue Detail.
You are properly logged into Blanchard Certified and have clicked on the “Curriculum” link to view your lessons,but the lesson outline is not showing up in the left-hand column.

Solution:
In some cases due to inactivity you may be logged out of the website. This can happen if the site is open while you are away from your computer for an extended period of time.

i. Click on the “Logout” button in the upper right-hand corner and then log back into the website.

ii. If logging out and logging back in does not solve the problem, contact Blanchard Certified support directly.

 

2. I forgot my username or password.

Issue Detail:
You do not know your login ID (your username) and/or you forgot your password, or you get a message that says "Incorrect logon information.

Solution:
If you do not know your logon ID or username:

i. Try entering your full work email address

ii. If this does not work, contact Blanchard Certified for assistance.


If you do no know your passsword:

i. Go to http://blanchardcertified.com/

ii. Click the “Login” button.

iii. Click on “Request Password”

iv. In the “User Verification area”, type in your email adddress and a new password will be emailed to you.

 

3. Sound will not play in the lesson.

Issue Detail:
You are currently viewing a lesson, but are not hearing any voiceover play on a page or are not hearing any audio while playing a video.

Solution:
If you are trying to hear a voiceover, please note that some pages in the system will not feature a voiceover. Verify that there is a voiceover by scrolling to the bottom of the page. If a voiceover is available, a gray audio player will appear.

For both audio and video, verify:

i. The volume on your computer is turned up.

ii. If you have speakers, make sure they are plugged in and turned on.

If you still do not hear any audio, verify that the audio or video player is not muted. In the bottom right corner of the player, there is a volume control. If the volume is muted, the spekaer icon will have a slash through it. Click the speaker icon to unmute the audio.

 

4. Video or audio will not play.

Issue Detail:
You are viewing a lesson, but are not seeing any video or audio players.

Solution:
A missing video or audio player is typically due to a missing plugin in your browser.

i. Verify that you have the correct browser plugins by visiting the plugin check page.

ii. If you notice any of the plugins have a red x, follow the steps below that plugin to download the appropiate installation program.

5. Video skips during playback.

Issue Detail:
You are trying to view a video in a lesson, but the video seems to skip or pause.

Solution:
This is typically the result of low bandwidth.

i. Run a check to verify you have adequate bandwith on the bandwidth check page.

ii. If you need assistance resolving the problem, print the page and contact your IT administrator.

iii. Try logging into another computer with a faster Internet connection to verify the video plays back properly.
