GCU EMBA

The Ken Blanchard Executive MBA program is based on principles Blanchard has honed with Fortune 500 companies over the last 40 years. Underpinning it all, the Ken Blanchard Executive MBA places emphasis is on character, ethics, values and identifying a higher purpose and vision for a company.

Academically rigorous "cross training" courses will teach operational excellence and problem solving as it would actually occur in an organization, not academia. All coursework will feature one common Ken Blanchard theme: character and values in leadership.

Top Business Leaders to Teach

The Ken Blanchard Executive MBA program will feature face-to-face sessions with Ken Blanchard College of Business faculty, Blanchard and a powerhouse Advisory Board of some of the nation’s leading business minds. The Advisory Board will participate twice a year as guest lecturers and will be available to students for ad hoc advice online. They include:

  • Eric Pillmore, SVP Tyco International
  • Thomas F. Gilman, 27-year veteran at DaimlerChrysler
  • Dennis C. Carey, CEO and corporate director recruiter
  • Kevin Freiberg, Ph.D. consultant, bestselling author of GUTS!
  • Harvey Mackay, consultant, bestselling author, columnist; founder Mackay Envelope
  • Margie Blanchard, executive and motivational speaker, Blanchard Companies

Integrated Approach

The Ken Blanchard Executive MBA curriculum features a unique teaching arrangement that focuses on real world learning instead of case studies.

The program is broken into nine cross-discipline sections, instead of traditional, subject-specific courses. Each academically rigorous section attempts to mimic the functions and decision-making processes of real world business organizations. Specific skills, such as stakeholder communication will be taught while attacking business challenges from multiple angles simultaneously. For more, visit www.gcu.edu/emba.
